What we collect and what for.
This is the privacy policy for the Lithium in South America site. It describes what the site does today, not what it might one day do: everything listed here is genuinely collected, and anything not listed is not.
Last updated:
1. Who we are
Panorama Minero organises the Lithium in South America International Seminar and is the controller of the personal data collected on this site.
For anything to do with this policy, write to consultas@panorama-minero.com.
2. What we collect and why
Each item says what is taken and what for. There are no others.
- What you write to us
- First name, last name, email, phone (optional), subject and message, when you complete the contact form. Used to answer your enquiry and follow it up, and for nothing else.
- Technical data with the submission
- When the form is sent we record your IP address and your browser identifier. They exist to rate-limit repeated submissions and filter automated spam. They are not used to identify you and are not combined with the rest of your data.
- Audience measurement
- Pages visited, approximate origin, language and device type, in aggregate. They tell us which sections earn their place and which do not.
- Server logs
- Generated automatically by the hosting when a page is served, for security and diagnostics.
We do not ask for sensitive data — health, ethnic origin, political opinions, trade union membership — and we do not want it. We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
3. Cookies
The site uses two cookies, both from Google Analytics 4 and both first-party: _ga and _ga_2L94N6LLS4. They distinguish visits and sessions in order to count audience.
The Vercel measurement we also use sets no cookies. There are no advertising, remarketing or social network cookies.
You can block or delete them from your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.
4. Who it is shared with
We do not sell or trade data. The following providers process it on our behalf and on our instructions:
- Vercel
- Site hosting and cookieless audience measurement.
- Google Analytics 4, the audience measurement described above.
- Cloudflare
- Playback of the embedded videos.
- Amazon Web Services
- Storage of the site's images.
We would hand data to a public authority only where a law or a court order required it.
5. International transfers
The providers above run servers outside Argentina, mainly in the United States. When you use the site or write to us, your data is processed there too, under each provider's data processing terms.
6. How long we keep it
Contact form enquiries are kept while they are being handled and for 24 months afterwards, in case you pick the conversation back up or we need to show what was answered.
Audience data is kept for up to 14 months. Server logs, a few days.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, updating and deletion of your personal data by writing to consultas@panorama-minero.com. We answer within the periods the law sets.
Under Argentine Law 25.326, section 14(3), a data subject may exercise the right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest in a shorter interval is demonstrated.
The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública, the supervisory authority for Law 25.326, handles complaints from people whose rights are affected by breaches of personal data protection rules.
If you write to us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights to object, to restrict processing and to data portability.
8. Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS with security headers in force. Access to the enquiries received is restricted to the team that answers them.
9. Registration and payment
Registration for the seminar and payment happen off this site, on Panorama Minero's platform. Data you enter there is governed by that platform's terms; this site neither receives nor stores card details.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we update the date in the header. Substantive changes are announced on the site.
