National outlook: Lithium in Argentina, an industry on the moveOpening Ceremony
Governors and authorities facing the next stage of Argentine miningLithium’s expansion turned Jujuy, Salta and Catamarca into protagonists of a productive transformation that goes far beyond the mineral itself. The governors of the Lithium Roundtable discuss investment, infrastructure, suppliers, employment, competitiveness and regional coordination, but also the relationship between the federal government and the provinces, and the place mining can occupy in Argentina’s economic development in the years ahead.
The opening will focus on what the region needs today to support a new scale of investment; how to finance infrastructure that crosses provincial borders; how far a regional supplier policy can go; how to coordinate standards, permits and institutional capacity; what concrete results the Lithium Roundtable has delivered; and what place mining should occupy on the economic and productive agenda through 2027.

Operating growth
What companies investing in Argentine lithium are working through todayArgentina’s lithium industry already has enough projects in operation and under development to shift the conversation from potential to performance. Costs, ramp-up, expansions, infrastructure, recovery, talent, suppliers and operational stability are now part of an increasingly concrete agenda. Companies with different experiences and models compare what they’re learning on the ground, where the main friction points show up today, and what variables will define the competitiveness of brine-based lithium production in the years ahead.

Argentina–United States: critical minerals in a strategic relationship
Supply security, investment and new alliances in a more fragmented global mapCritical minerals now sit at the center of economic security, industrial policy and international trade agendas. Against this backdrop, Argentina and the United States deepened their cooperation on mining and processing during 2026, as Washington accelerates efforts to diversify and strengthen its supply chains.
The panel will examine what concrete opportunities this new framework opens for Argentine lithium, particularly around investment, infrastructure, financing and value-added production. It will also address how the country can strengthen ties with one of the world’s leading economic and technological powers while preserving a diversified mining footprint and strategic links with other markets.

Asia and the Lithium Triangle: markets, investment and development modelsKeynote · In English
What Asian industry is looking for, and how public policy decisions position Argentina and the Southern ConeAsia concentrates the main hub of global demand, processing and battery manufacturing. In the first part, Andrew Layland will analyze what products Asian industry requires today outside its domestic markets, from intermediate compounds to battery-grade chemicals and active cathode materials, and how international competition for capital, supply and processing capacity is evolving.
In the second part, José Hofer will compare the institutional, regulatory and productive models developed by Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. The analysis will examine how state participation, incentives, restrictions and industrial policies shaped the arrival of investment, project execution and production growth, and what lessons each experience offers amid the new configuration of the Asian market.

Lithium: still a misunderstood industry?Keynote · In English
Joe Lowry on the decisions, players and shifts that have shaped and continue to shape the global lithium marketDemand for lithium is now roughly ten times higher than a decade ago, yet the market remains crossed by competing narratives, hard-to-verify expectations, and readings that don’t always reflect how the industry actually works. In conversation with the CEO of Zelandez, Joe Lowry will examine the shifts that redefined the sector and the key to separating structural trends from short-term noise.
The conversation will cover the growing weight of stationary storage, the arrival of new players, the end of the old dominance of major producers, and the importance of understanding lithium as a chemical industry rather than a conventional mining market. It will also trace price cycles, the challenges of developing new supply, and the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on the quality of available information.
His book Lithium Confidential will be on hand as the backing for a perspective built over more than three decades among producers, customers and international markets, and as a starting point for connecting the lessons of history with the decisions that could define the industry’s next stage.
